Was just checking to see when the annual Pittsburgh Air show was this year. It is fathers day weekend (June 20 and 21st).. And the feature this year, The Blue Angels will be there….. definitely worth being there for that..
Travel update
Was going back through some old posts, and noticed the last time I updated my travel map was in 2006. Hard to believe that since that time, I have done more air travel in 2 years, than I had done in the 6 coming up to it.. As of now, I have 54,586 miles done by air travel. 2008 accounted for 16,487 of that. Was just 4000 short of the fake goal I wanted of 20,000 for the year, but hey, it was for the most part a good year for travel. here is looking to the future.
being sick sucks
as if the last couple of months havn’t been bad enough, now I have a norovirus. Nothing like spending 7 hours at the hospital emergency room trying to get fluids to stay in you. I don’t wish this thing on any one..Needless to say it has been 2 days since I have been able to eat anything. And all liquids I drink 85% of them are out of me in 10 minutes.
Update to comcast speed
So the other night when I was testing the speed’s I was doing it with my MacBook Pro on the wireless.. Tonight I decided to do it from the desktop that is wired in at 100mb/s link, here are the results:
Pretty darn nice…. The weird part is I think my comcast connection goes through DC instead of Pittsburgh. On the Pittsburgh comcast speed test I get 20mb/s right off the bat, but then it drops down to about 13 / 14 mb… on the DC test it stays around 20 until the last couple of seconds and then drops down to 19.94, but I think that is just the finishing of the file. So it looks like even though Pittsburgh is geographicly closer the route to dc may be bigger.
The Pittsburgh test site is in summit park, which funny as it is only 5 hops from my house. The DC test site is in Manassas VA, which is at least 9 hops.
To get from my house to the DC test site, it goes thorugh pittsburgh ph, cleveland oh, pittsbugh pa, mclean va, and then capitlhights maryland.
To get from my house to the Pittsburgh test site,just 5 hops, and it is there. both of the ones out side of morgantown are in pittsburgh..
