No wonder it is cold outside

This week the weather has went from 77 degrees to 40… I think it is beause Com(pression)cast has actually done something good… They finally made the local broadcast channels that are in clear QAM show up on the channel numbers they should be. So instead of using 108.2201 for the local NBC affiliate, now you just have to use 11.1 which makes much more sense. Now if they would just make the rest of the channels in the clear it would really make my day.

Ralphie May

Went to see Ralphie May last night with Justin… What an excellent show. Probably even better than when I saw him in Austin, TX. He has lost a lot more weight which is good. One of the best parts of the show is when he saw a 8 or 9 year old boy in the front row with his parents. Once Ralphie saw him he went in to a little rant about why the parents would bring some one so young to his show.. It would have been cool to have a audio version of that show because it was 10 minutes shy of 2 straight hours of him on the stage. Hopefully he will come back some time, he is playing in Pittsburgh at the end of May.

This picture was taken while he was talking to “Robert” the 8 year old boy and his parents:

Weird Sign

Saw this sign today, not sure if it was just miss worded or what. But the actual sign on the building had it as “Robert’s Hair for Men and Womens Salon”. All that is needed is a Y placed at the end of Hair and it would be a funny sign.

Kids say what?

While I was out at the stores today I heard some of the weirdest things from some kids walking around with their parents..

The first one was a 8 or 9 year old boy walking around Target with his father. They were in the movie section and the kid saw the movie Get Rich or Die Trying and picked it up and told his dad that he wanted it. He said it was his favorite movie and he wanted it. His dad looked at the back of it and saw that it was rated R and told him no. So the kid was a little upset.. According to IMDB, the reason it is rated R is “for strong violence, pervasive language, drug content, sexuality and nudity.” Wonder how the kid saw it in the first place?

The second one was a 3 or 4 year old girl walking with her parents through the super market. As they were walking in front of me the little girl said “can we go out for dinner tonight?” I was expecting her to say something like McDonald’s or the such. But her parents started asking why she wanted go to out to eat and she said something that I could not hear. She then said, “can we please go out to eat? I want to go to Oliverio’s which is a good Italian restaurant downtown. Shocked me to hear a little 3 or 4 year old asking to go there.
