This weekend I went to the local Target and for the first time since the Nintendo Wii has come out they actually had Wii’s in the case. It looked like they had about 10 or 15 of them in the glass case.. Funny that they still had the sign on the case about the limited amounts and that rain checks would not be issued.
Finally got a Nintendo Wii today. Funny story how it happened. Justin and I went to the Mall for lunch and stopped by EB to see if they had any.. The sales man said no and he did not expect any today. (Justin had talked to some one there the night before and he said they were supposed to get 3 in today.) So we went and had lunch and on the way out of the mall we saw the Big Brown Truck (aka UPS) sitting outside the entrance where we parked. So we went back in and just as we got in the door we saw the UPS man and asked him if he had delivered anything to EB and he said yeah. So back to EB we went. Asked the sales man if he got a shipment in as we had already talked to the UPS guy. He said yeah, but did not know if any Wii’s were in it. So he went back in the store room and came out with 1 Wii. So we asked if he had a second, and he told us “Sorry guys but I can only sell you one.” I then looked at him and said well the other one is for me not Justin. He then said he needed to see some ID, so we both showed him our license to show that we did not live together and he said ok and went and got the other one. So now Justin and I both have Wii’s but we were in search of another Wiimote and nunchuk. So I texted Ashley and had her stop at Toy’s R US, which had plenty of Wiimotes and nunchucks and had her pick up two sets. (According to the sales man at Game Stop, Nintendo under estimated the amount of controllers to sell, and supposedly only made 1 extra controller for every 4 systems sold. FWIT)…
Brought it home and for some reason it did NOT like my Solaris DHCP server, so I ended up hardcoding an IP, but now all is Well in Wii land. Now if I could only find a source of Wii Point cards to download some old games.. Target and Walmart are sold out of everything except for games.
